How big of a tent do I need for my event?
It depends on the event. A sit down meal using rectangular tables will require 8-10 sq. feet per person. For a cocktail party will need approximately 6 sq. feet per person. If you are planning a buffet, you will need to allow extra space for the buffet tables.

- 20’ x 30’ Tent – seats 48 guests

How much food do I need for my event?
Sit down dinner
Depending on the extent of your event, this number can be different from dinner to dinner. We are able to do plated meals anywhere from a basic 3 course dinner up to a 10 course feast.
Light Appetizers
A light appetizer course is most often served around 3:00 pm or 7:00 pm. For a light appetizer event, plan on 4-6 pieces per person.
Heavy Appetizers
A heavy appetizer event is typically held over meal times. We plan on 10-12 pieces per person for these events as they mostly replace a lunch or dinner.
Dessert only
Dessert can be served any time of day! Plan on 4-6 pieces per person.
Buffet
All of our buffets are sold by the person. We give generous portions of all entrees and sides. We can always add options to the buffets.
FAQ’s
What size are your platters?
A general rule of thumb:
- Round platters – smalls are 14” in diameter, larges are 16” in diameter
- Square platters are 16” X 16”
- Rectangle platters – small 8 X 10, 14 X 10medium, 18 X 12 large
- Oval platters – small 14 X 21, large 14 X 25
When do I need to place my order?
Our cut off for orders, during non-peak seasons, is 10:30 am the day prior to requested deliver. Some items require more notice for us to purchase the product. Please allow more time for larger events. Ask your catering specialist if you have questions.
How do I choose a delivery time?
We have a 30 minute delivery window during non-peak seasons. This means that if you place your delivery for 11:00 am, your order will arrive between 10:45 am and 11:15 am. Plan to have your food arrive 20-30 minutes before serving your guests to ensure that you have enough time to complete set up.
How much is delivery?
Our delivery charge is $30 for the Twin Cities Metro area. Please ask your catering specialist for a quote on your delivery charge if you need delivery outside of this area.
What color are your platters and disposable settings?
Our platters are white. Our basic disposable settings are black plates with clear cutlery. For an additional cost, we have white plates and silver cutlery available.
Do I need to return the platters?
No. Our platters are very durable and many of our customers choose to reuse them for their personal entertaining.
Does my order include set up?
Our drivers will place the food in the area that you would like to serve. However, they do not arrange or remove the lids of any platters. If you are looking for set up and service, we have experienced and professional servers available. Please see the service tab for more information.
How many varieties of appetizers will I need?
This truly depends on the type of event as well as the time your event is being held. Keep in mind that the move options you have available, the more your guests will eat as people tend to want to try a little bit of everything.
How can I keep my food hot?
If your food will not be consumed immediately upon delivery, disposable chafing dishes available for $20, or we have chafing dishes available to rent for $35.
Where do I pick up food if I don’t want it delivered?
Orders are picked up at the St. Louis Park Byerly’s.

What hours is food available for pick up?
Food can be picked up Mon-Fri 7am-5:30 pm and weekends from 8 am-3:30 pm.
Do you have a minimum order requirement?
No. We are available to complete orders of any size.
Is gratuity included in the bill for drivers/servers?
No.
I am planning an event in the future but I don’t know how many people will be attending yet. When should I start an order with you?
The sooner we get you on our books, the better. This way we can reserve a delivery spot and get all necessary staffing lined up. We can change the numbers as we get closer to the event. Give us your best guess and we can start the planning process.
Will I need to provide my own serving utensils?
No. Our platters come with the appropriate serving pieces. We do have additional serving pieces available for sale as well.
Can I set up an invoice account at the time of placing a new order?
We do have invoiced accounts available, but require that you place a minimum of 4 orders per month with us.
When the driver arrives, can I change my method of payment for the order?
No. We process payment for all orders the morning of the delivery. When the driver arrives, your payment has already been processed.
